Oscar De La Hoya, 1995

Professional boxer Oscar De La Hoya competed from 1992 to 2008, and his talent is at no expense as he is known for winning 11 world titles in six different weight classes. He gained the nickname “the Golden Boy” after representing the U.S. at the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Hoya founded L.A.-based boxing promotional firm “The Golden Boy Promotions Inc” in 2002. He is still in the media for his comments about returning to the boxing world in 2022 after his over-decade-long retirement with Floyd Mayweather as his first pick.
