Obwohl Danny nicht so viel wog wie Lexy, hielt er sich hartnäckig an alle Regeln, die die beiden aufstellten, um seine Frau zu unterstützen. Allerdings hinterließ es auch bei ihm Spuren langsam aber sicher schmolzen die Pfunde dahin. In 2 Jahren konnte er 45kg abnehmen und erreichte somit sein Zielgewicht von 86kg. Tatsächlich verlor er im ersten Jahr seines neuen Lebensstils den größten Teil seines Gewichts.
Da er Lexi jedoch nicht alleine lassen konnte, behielt er einen gesunden Lebensstil bei und nahm weiterhin langsam und allmählich ab. Diese Zeit war von äußerst gravierenden Veränderungen geprägt. Lexi verlor schließlich 300 Pfund. Sie verlor nicht nur die Hälfte ihres Gewichts, sondern auch mehr als drei Viertel ihres Gesamtgewichts. Bevor sie sich versah, war sie zu einer ganz neuen Person geworden und fast nicht mehr wiederzuerkennen.
