Lexi sagte in einem Interview, dass sie oft Selbstgespräche führte und sich selbst motivierte. Nur so konnte sie Tag für Tag motiviert bleiben. Sie sagte auch, man soll nicht zu hart zu sich selbst sein. Zu viel zu kritisieren schadet am Ende nur. Stattdessen solltes man an sich selbst glauben – nur so kann man die mentale Herausforderungen überwinden und den eigenen inneren Schweinehund überwinden.
Bei extremer Fettleibigkeit wie der von Lexi stellen bereits die alltäglichsten Dinge eine Herausforderung dar. Allein das kaufen neuer Kleidung kann da schon zur Herausforderung werden. Beim Brautkleider Shoppen muss Lexi in Zukunft aber keine Kompromisse mehr eingehen.
