Unerfüllte Träume
Neben ihrem unerfüllten Kinderwunsch musste Lexi noch viele weitere Kompromisse im Leben eingehen. Sie war seit ihrer Kindheit ein großer Fan von Harry-Potter-Büchern und hat immer davon geträumt, die Universal Studios in Florida zu besuchen, wo sich die Harry-Potter-Studios befinden. Da sie jedoch selbst weit entfernt von Florida im abgelegenen Indiana lebt, rückte auch dieser Traum immer weiter in die Ferne.
Mit einem Gewicht von 200 kg war es unmöglich, in ein Flugzeug zu steigen, geschweigedenn einfache Fahrten in Fahrgeschäften von Vergnügungsparks, die ebenfalls unmöglich für Lexi waren. Langstreckenreisen kamen da schon gar nicht in Frage. All die Träume und Wünsche, die Lexi einmal hatte, verblassen also langsam, ohne Hoffnung, dass sie jemals wahr werden.
