Als nicht aufzuhaltender allseits bekannte Modekünstler hat sich Ralph Lauren mit seiner gleichnamigen Marke ein Vermögen von satten 7,1 Milliarden Dollar angehäuft. Seine Autosammlung besteht aus mehr als 100 Fahrzeugen, die teilweise älter als er selbst sind und ebenfalls seltene Sensationen. So imposant, dass das Pariser Kunstgewerbemuseum vor 10 Jahren 17 seiner Autos ausstellte. Zu seiner Sammlung gehören der Ferrari 250 GTO aus dem Jahre 1962, der McLaren F1 LM von 1996, ein Alfa Romeo 8C aus 1938(!), und der abgebildete Bentley mit Birkin-Gebläse von 1929. Insgesamt schätzt man den Wert seiner Autos auf 350 Millionen US-Dollar.
