Er hat den Fiat 500e getestet, welchen er von der Fiat Marke bereitgestellt bekam. Er findet das Auto einen sehr benutzerfreundlichen Kleinwagen und die Fahrt allgemein eine interessante Erfahrung. Die Kosten für eines der Mini Autos kann bis zu 20.000 US Dollar betragen. Ron Howard gab einem Magazin jedoch einmal zu, dass er sich sonst nicht sonderlich für Autos interessierte. Er fährt normalerweise einen weißen Volkswagen Käfer aus dem Jahre 1970. Das war damals aber schon ein ziemlich cooles Auto, Geschmack hat der Produzent also auf jeden Fall.
