Josef Dieter „Sepp“ Maier ist ein ehemaliger deutscher Fußballtorhüter und Torwarttrainer. Er ist mit 661 Pflichtspielen vor Oliver Kahn Rekordspieler des FC Bayern München, für den er 17 Jahre lang spielte. Heute wäre er neben Manuel Neuer sicherlich einer der besten Torhüter der Welt. Seine herausragenden Reflexe beeindrucken bis heute noch ehemalige Mitspieler als auch Gegenspieler. Im Jahr 2008 heiratet der ehemalige Bayern-Star seine langjährige Lebensgefährtin Monika Roth. Die Hochzeit und auch sein übriges Privatleben hält Sepp Maier aus der Öffentlichkeit heraus.
