Detlef Steves, bekannt aus dem VOX-Format „Ab ins Beet“ baute seine Karriere so geschickt auf, dass er weitere, auf ihn zugeschnittene Sendung wie beispielsweise „Detlef muss reisen“ und „Detlef baut ein Haus“ bekam. Grund für den Ruhm des 53-Jährigen aus Moers ist seine nicht vorhandene Impulskontrolle, die bei den Zuschauern immer wieder für große Lacher sorgt.
„Deffi“ geht schnell und gerne in die Luft, ob es beim Mauern einer Gartenwand ist oder beim Diskutieren mit seiner Frau Nicole.
