Die deutsche Popsängerin wurde vor allem in den 80er Jahren bekannt durch die “Neue Deutsche Welle”. Ihre Songs wie “99 Luftballons” gingen um die ganze Welt. Bis heute macht sie noch Musik und ist in verschiedenen Fernsehshows, wie zum Beispiel “The Voice of Germany” oder “Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert” zu sehen. Im Oktober 2020 veröffentlichte sie ihr neustes Album “Licht”. Neben der Musik gründete sie die “Neue Schule Hamburg” nach dem demokratischen System dem “Sudbury Modell” in Hamburg-Rahlstedt. In dem nordöstlichen Hamburger Stadtteil lebt die Sängerin auch in einem Haus mit ihrem Partner und ihren Kindern. Der Wert liegt gerade mal bei 800.000 Euro, was im vergleich zu anderen Prominenten nicht gerade protzig ist.
