How the German top model and her husband, the English film director Matthew Vaughn, came to own their country house in Suffolk is rather unusual. They saw the historic house and fell in love immediately. They then knocked on the door and asked the then owners if the house was for sale. They bought it and celebrated their big wedding there a few months later. They now live on 215 acres in a historic country house dating back to 1547 with 14 bedrooms, after initially using the house only as a weekend home while the family was still living in London. Claudia Schiffer and her husband now live in Suffolk with their three children, dogs, cats, sheep, pigs and a tortoise.
