Roger Lloyd-Pack alias Barty Crouch sen.
Bartemius Crouch sen. ist Abteilungsleiter im Zaubereiministerium und der Kampf gegen „das Böse“ ist sein ganzer Lebenssinn. Auch wenn er noble Motive hat, sind seine Methoden oft rigoros. Schwach wird er nur ein einziges Mal, als er seiner todkranken Frau zuliebe dafür sorgt, dass sein Sohn Barty Crouch jr. aus dem Gefängnis freikommt. Eine Entscheidung, die er später mit dem eigenen Leben bezahlt, als sein Sohn sich gegen ihn wendet und tötet.
Roger Lloyd-Pack, der zuvor vornehmlich in Großbritannien als Schauspieler bekannt war, erreichte durch seine Rolle in „Harry Potter und der Feuerkelch“ 2005 erstmals auch ein internationales Publikum. 2014 verstarb er im Alter von 69 Jahren an seiner Krebserkrankung.
