David Ryall alias Elphias Doge
David Ryall war ein britischer Theater- und Fernsehschauspieler, der auf verschiedenen britischen und amerikanischen Bühnen als Musical- und Theaterschauspieler bekannt war. Seine international bekanntesten Filmrollen hatte er unter anderem in „Der Elefantenmensch“ und „In 80 Tagen um die Welt“.
In „Harry Potter und die Heiligtümer des Todes I.“ spielte er 2010 die Rolle des Elphias Doge. Als ältester Freund des bereits verstorbenen Schulleiters Dumbledore und Mitglied des Ordens des Phönix verteidigt er Dumbledores Ansehen nach seinem Tod, welches durch die Reporterin Rita Kimmkorn in den Schmutz gezogen wurde.
David Ryall verstarb Ende 2014 im Alter von 79 Jahren.
