Elizabeth Spriggs alias „Die fette Dame“
Elizabeth Spriggs war eine britische Schauspielerin, die den Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere vor allem in den 80er und 90er Jahren hatte. In Großbritannien war sie vor allem als Theaterschauspielerin und durch diverse Dickens-Verfilmungen bekannt. In „Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen“ spielte sie zwar eine kleine, aber doch eine wirklich sonderbare Rolle: Für viele Zauberlehrlinge, die nach Hogwarts kommen, ist es nämlich erstmal ganz schön ungewöhnlich, dass Figuren auf Gemälden sich bewegen, geschweige denn sprechen können.
Eines der bekanntesten Gemälde ist wohl das der „Fetten Dame“, mit dem Elizabeth Spriggs auch nach ihrem Tod 2008 für Potter-Fans unsterblich geworden ist.
