Looks can be deceiving right. Like when it is big, oval, and green, it’s a watermelon. The last thing you expect it to be is a cucumber. That is exactly what happened to Camryn Gelting’s father when he grew what he thought was a pretty impressive watermelon.
As she says he was pretty proud of it until he harvested it. Upon cutting it open, he realized he was cutting it up, and it wasn’t a watermelon, but a cucumber. This kind of surprise isn’t as uncommon as people may think. Overgrown cucumbers are often found in gardens where they are being grown.
