Cursó sus estudios universitarios en Washington donde estudió Ciencias Políticas y luego hizo un máster en Relaciones Internacionales. Trabajó en la sede de las Naciones Unidas en Nueva York. ¡Vaya curriculum vitae! Cuando vuelve a Madrid comienza un noviazgo entre ella y el príncipe Felipe. Cuando terminaron la relación la prensa española fue implacable con Isabel. La persiguió durante años, aún después de casada y de ser madre. Por eso, antes de rearmar su vida en España se mudó a Londres para estudiar Arte.
