Em 2018, o artista recebeu o prêmio “Troféu Mário Lago” pelo conjunto de uma carreira extraordinária no teatro, televisão, e cinema. Aos 88 anos de idade e 72 de carreira, tornou-se um fenômeno no Instagram, na qual soma 3 milhões de seguidores, nada, faz exercícios e nem pensa em parar.
