Ferruccio Merk Ricordi è famoso per il pubblico come Teddy Reno, marito di Rita Pavone dal lontano 1968. La coppia si sposò a Lugano e la loro unione fu molto chiacchierata a causa della differenza di età fra i due e perché lui era già stato sposato. Nonostante i 20 anni di differenza, Teddy Reno e la sua Rita sono ancora insieme e hanno anche avuto i figli Alessandro e Giorgio. Attualmente il cantante si è ritirato dalle scene per gli acciacchi dovuti all’età e per un fisiologico calo della memoria. La sua passione per la musica comunque è rimasta integra: a detta della moglie lui continua a cantare per casa e segue in televisione gli spettacoli della sua Rita.
