Romolo Guerrieri is an Italian director and screenwriter who is not particularly popular among the Italian public but whose activity flourished during the 60s and 80s, bringing a valid contribution to the cinema of the Belpaese. As a screenwriter he was appreciated in L’Allenatore nel Pallone. His last cinematographic effort dates back to 1994 after which the director preferred to retire to private life, next to his family who has always supported him in his artistic choices. Today, at the venerable age of 90, the now ex-director still enjoys good health despite some ailments due to age, so he spends his days between rest and good reading.
