Rares sont les actrices qui allient finesse et drôlerie avec autant de naturel que Valérie Lemercier. Elle a une facilité déconcertante à passer des rôles dramatiques aux rôles comiques, et elle excelle dans les deux registres. Elle a vécu son premier succès en 1994 avec « Les visiteurs », le rôle lui a même valu un César.
En 2021, elle a réalisé et tenu le rôle principal dans le film « Aline », et s’est vue décerner le César de la meilleure actrice pour sa prestation. Valérie Lemercier est une critique farouche de la chirurgie esthétique et préfère se focaliser sur une bonne hygiène de vie pour rester belle.
