Dorothée a été l’idole de toute une génération en France, plus précisément celle des années 80 et 90. Elle a battu des records d’audience avec des émissions destinées aux enfants comme « Récré A2 » ou « Le club Dorothée ». Cet énorme succès lui a permis aussi de se lancer dans la chanson.
À partir de 2010, ses concerts continuent d’attirer des milliers de fans qui ont besoin de se remémorer une partie de leurs jeunes années. Mis à part son succès professionnel, ce lien particulier avec l’enfance lui a aussi permis de se maintenir jeune, aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur.
