Sheila fait ses premiers pas dans la musique en tant que chanteuse dans un groupe et c’est grâce à l’une de ses prestations qu’elle est repérée par un producteur qui la prend sous son aile et son premier album sort en 1962. Un an après, l’énorme et indémodable tube “L’école est finie” fait d’elle une star de la variété française
En 2012, elle fête ses 50 ans de carrière devant une salle remplie à l’Olympia. L’année suivante, elle reçoit une Victoire de la musique pour l’ensemble de sa carrière, et publie son autobiographie “Danse avec ta vie”. Elle aura toujours une place dans le cœur des français.
