Victoria Principal ou Vicki Ree Principal de son nom réel découvre le métier d’actrice dès l’âge de 5 ans en jouant dans un spot publicitaire. Elle fait du mannequinat durant le lycée tout en aspirant à étudier la chiropractie, mais un accident de voiture à 18 ans l’oblige à abandonner ses études.
Victoria décide alors de se lancer dans le métier d’actrice et décroche le rôle de sa vie dans la peau de Pamela Ewing pour « Dallas » de 1977 à 1987. Elle arrête ses activités d’actrice jusqu’au début des années 2000 avant de se reconvertir dans les affaires en créant sa propre entreprise de cosmétique.
