Über Jahre waren Boris Becker und seine Partnerin Lilly immer wieder Gegenstand der Medienberichterstattung, oft aufgrund der Affären des ehemaligen Tennisstars, die er kaum verbarg. Der öffentliche Heiratsantrag Beckers an Lilly Kerssenberg im Jahr 2009 ließ hoffen, das Paar könne sein gemeinsames Glück festigen.
