Es bleibt oft fraglich, ob Beziehungen, die unter dem wachsamen Auge der Öffentlichkeit entstehen, wirklich Bestand haben. Vielfältige Beispiele scheinen eher das Gegenteil zu beweisen. So erging es auch dem ehemaligen Bachelor Niko Griesert, der in der Teilnehmerin Michele de Roos seine Liebe gefunden zu haben schien.
Die Enttäuschung der Fans war groß, als Michele zunächst aus der Show ausschied, doch Griesert machte seinen vermeintlichen Fehler wett und holte sie zurück. Nach der Show machten sie ihre Beziehung öffentlich und schienen in den sozialen Medien überglücklich. Doch die Beziehung hielt nicht; bereits nach einem Jahr ging die Beziehung zu Bruch.
