Doch für Tom Kaulitz war es nicht der erste Gang zum Altar. Der Musiker hat scheinbar eine Vorliebe für Frauen, die einige Jahre älter sind als er.
Vor Heidi Klum war Tom mit dem Model Ria Sommerfeld verheiratet. Ihre Beziehung dauerte etwa fünf Jahre, doch nach der Hochzeit zerbrach ihre Ehe schon nach sechs Monaten. Die genauen Gründe für das Scheitern dieser Beziehung blieben im Dunkeln. Offenbar waren sie einfach nicht füreinander bestimmt.
