This Bear Had A Strange Job At A Hospital That Night
Descending into Darkness
Peter grabbed the rope from his bag. “I’ll go down,” he said. But Hana hesitated. What if something went wrong? The well looked deep, the darkness uninviting. “I’ll be right here,” she said, her voice shaky. Peter steadied himself, testing the rope, and prepared to descend into the unknown.
With a deep breath, he began to lower himself into the dark depths of the well. As Peter descended, Hana’s heart raced. The rope creaked under his weight, each second stretching into eternity. The deep silence of the well was unnerving. Hana stood, clutching the rope, as Peter’s voice echoed from below. “I’m almost there,” he said, his words muffled.
