A Call for Help
Hana grabbed her phone and dialed the number of the only vet she knew. The phone rang and rang until, finally, the vet answered. “What’s happening?” he asked, his voice steady. Hana quickly explained the situation, her words tumbling in a frantic rush. The vet asked her to describe the creature, but every detail only raised more questions.
As Hana spoke, the silence on the other end grew until the vet broke it. “I don’t know what you’re dealing with,” he said. It was a blow. She had hoped for answers, but all she got was more uncertainty. “What now?” she thought, panic rising in her chest.
