Nachdem Allison Stokke schon einige unglaubliche Rekorde aufstellen konnte, schaffte sie es im Jahr 2005 ihren alten Hochsprungrekord zu überbieten- eine unglaubliche Leistung. Sie ist nicht nur eine Spitzensportlerin, sondern auch eine sehr willensstarke und disziplinierte Person. Bei den kalifornischen Staatsmeisterschaften stellte sie einen neuen Rekord auf und gewann die Goldmedaille.
Allison hat eindeutig das Zeug zur Olympiasiegerin. Sie hat hart trainiert, um ihre Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln und zu perfektionieren. An einem Trainingstag versuchte sie, beim Vorwärtsstart eine Hantel zu verwenden, die zu schwer für sie war, und schätzte daher die Höhe des Sprungs falsch ein. Infolgedessen kam es zu mehreren Unfällen, die auf diesen einen Fehler zurückzuführen waren.
