Sarah Lancashire first made waves in 1987 with a minor role in “Coronation Street” before seizing her breakout opportunity in Willy Russell’s “Blood Brothers” in 1990. Her return to “Coronation Street” in 1991 as Raquel Wolstenhulme cemented her status as a household name, with her departure in 1996 drawing 20 million viewers.
Beyond that role, Sarah’s range was showcased in “Where the Heart Is” and “Clocking Off,” earning her acclaim and several awards, including Best Actress at the TV Quick Awards and Most Popular Actress at the National Television Awards in 2000. She remains committed to her craft, taking on new roles like Julia Child in the 2022 series “Julia.”
