Penny Smith, a prominent British author and television host, is renowned for her significant contributions across various media platforms. Since 1977, her career trajectory saw her backpacking through diverse cultures, eventually leading to pivotal roles at Radio Television Hong Kong, Radio Trent, and Sky News in its inception phase.
Her most distinguished tenure was at GMTV, starting in 1993, where she served as the principal newsreader and co-presented the prestigious Reuters News Hour, becoming a staple in morning news for over a decade. It was the end of an era when she left GMTV, but Penny has continued to make her mark in Scala Radio since March 2021.
