Joanna Lumley – Born in 1946
Born in Srinagar, British India, Joanna Lumley first dazzled as a model before enchanting audiences in 1969 as a Bond girl in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” She skyrocketed to fame with roles in “The New Avengers” and “Sapphire & Steel,” eventually becoming a household name as Patsy Stone in “Absolutely Fabulous,” for which she won two BAFTA TV Awards.
Known for her distinct voice and activism, Joanna has also ventured into documentaries and stage, starring in “La Bête” on London’s West End. In 2023, she embarked on a spice-filled adventure in “Joanna Lumley’s Spice Trail Adventure,” exploring the rich tapestry of global flavors in the documentary.
