Die Suche auf lokaler Ebene
Das alte Foto im Internet zu verbreiten hatte den Forschern zwar einiges an Aufmerksamkeit eingebracht, doch sie waren dem Besitzer der Kamera trotzdem noch kein Stück näher gekommen. Die Meeresbiologen entschieden sich also dazu, das Foto auf einem Community-Forum des kleinen kanadischen Ortes zu veröffentlichen.
Auch hier wusste allerdings niemand, wer die Familie auf dem Foto war. Schließlich verteilte das Team auch einige Flyer in Brimfield. Tatsächlich meldete sich daraufhin endlich jemand zu Wort, der den Forschern einige weitere Informationen über den potenziellen Besitzer des jahrelang verschollenen Fotoapparates geben konnte.
